  • Recording at The Gallery was a beyond amazing experience…

“Recording at The Gallery was a beyond amazing experience. In addition to being adept musicians themselves, Brian Forbes and Keith Parker are engineering geniuses who brought out the best in my music during our recording sessions.  I felt completely relaxed and at ease at every moment of recording at The Gallery which enabled me to focus all of my energy on the session.  I have and will continue to refer my friends to The Gallery… Missing out on a chance to record with Brian and Keith would be a true loss to any one’s music!”

The Gallery strikes the perfect balance, creating a recording atmosphere of focused professionalism as well as a relaxed and welcoming environment.  Brian’s incredible attention to every detail from the tone of the bass to the breath in a vocal phrase, the rhyme or rhythm of a lyric, and even the faintest unwanted sounds, assures a musician that he puts 100% of his energy into every project.  His focus, enthusiasm and encouragement never falter during the entire experience and he never fails to deliver what you ask for in a recording.  I highly recommend The Gallery – it’s a great place to record with amazing people!  -Michaela Anne

  • The sounds we got were rad!

“When my band, Laserbrain, came out to The Gallery to record a live EP, Keith and Brian went far out of their way to accommodate our needs. The place is a very comfortable location and you would have an easy time hanging out for days of long sessions. A good vibe with some sweet guys. A much better environment for people who like to keep it personal and get way into their music–not like some multi-room facility with interns and other band goons wandering all over the place. Also, the sounds we got were rad!”  - Mather Carlson (Laserbrain)

I’ve worked in many different professional studios over the years and The Gallery has been by far my favorite studio. The vibe is very chill and laid back, but work gets done. I couldn’t ask for more.

  • I am always amazed by the sound quality of the projects being done there

Besides the professionalism and coolness of the engineers at The Gallery (which should be a given but that a lot of studios in NYC take for granted), I am always amazed by the sound quality of the projects being done there. The mics and the live/rehearsal room are top quality. I’ve done live tracking with several groups in there, as well as completely isolated overdub sessions, and both setups work amazingly well. It is very hard to track a live project with minimal isolation and no headphone monitors, and still get a great vibe with amazing sound quality. The Gallery makes this happen effortlessly. -Aurelien Budynek
